Vital Wolves: McCarthy on Hull draw

Mick McCarthy was left feeling that we did enough to take the points.

But we missed our chances and Hull will be delighted with taking a share of the spoils.

An early goal from Geovanni put Hull in front during the first half, while an early second half goal from Stearman brought the sides level.

We then went on to create enough chances to claim the win, but couldn't find the net.

'To me, it is two points lost. We were rocked on our heels for about 10 minutes after they scored but then we were the dominant team.' McCarthy told the BBC.

McCarthy went on to comment on the chance that was cleared from the line: 'We had the chances and that clearance on the line from Michael Turner stopped them from going behind. He is a good player.

But in the end, we were left feeling it was two points lost and Hull have gained what could be a valuable point: 'In the second half we were terrific. We should have killed the game off and Hull will view it as a good point.'

Vital Wolves Comment: Very frustrating.
