'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Maierhofer aims to serve up safety

Oh it's a headline makers dream, Maierhofer has revealed that just 5 years ago he was working in his parents restaurant in Austria.

And now he is in the Premier League aiming to serve up some tasty goals which will keep Wolves at the top table of English Football!

"Five years ago I was back home staying with my family and working in their restaurant and now I`m in the Premier League - it`s a dream come true," said Stefan Maierhofer to the Express & Star.

"As a chef I worked for 14-16 hours a day and now I`m playing professional football in the Premier League, which is incredible.'

It certainly is and if he continues in the same way he did on his debut he is likely to be big hit!

For Rapid Vienna he scored 31 goals in 49 appearances and after coming on at half time against Blackburn, he continued that scoring form by scoring on his debut.

He went on to add: "In Austria many people say I`m arrogant, that I walk with my nose in the air." Of course walks like that, the guy is 6ft 7in tall!

Whats your goalscoring like Jamo!! I bet Hoffs job in the restaurant was passing down the ingredients from the high shelves. Hopefully will prove to be a large signing for us
