McCarthy not satisfied with Wolves start

Mick McCarthy is not satisfied with Wolves start to this seasons Premier League campaign.

To point out the obvious, I`m not sure many of us are.

Admittedly my confidence at the start of the season may have been a little misguided and the injuries have not helped.

We are yet to see what Kevin Doyle can do when running on all cylinders and our key to survival Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has been missing in action.

But surely we should have picked up more than just the 4 points from our 5 games?

If the comparison to last season is required 0.92 points per game are needed. Our current ratio is 0.8 and Hull who finished just 1 point above the relegation zone last season had double our points tally after 5 games last season.

So is Mick satisfied? "Satisfied? Not really I think we should have had more points. We should have beaten Hull because we played well. We didn`t deserve anything from the game at Blackburn.' Mick told the Express & Star.

"If we were sat here with six points, with two wins, it would look a helluva lot different and we would feel a helluva lot better."

McCarthy also stated this fine nugget of information: "We`re not going to get the same amount of points as last season." Thanks Mick, that really needed pointing out.

Yes, that extra 2 points against Hull would have us solidly mid table. C'mon boys, lets have a result tomorrow!!

I'm fairly happy with 7 points from 6 games. We were never getting anything off City and first games are hard. Blackburn was a bad result, but they played very well. Hull. Will we rue it?!
