Vital Wolves: Sunderland Match Thread

Mick McCarthy returns to the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

And as the BBC have kindly pointed out, if we can pick up the victory today, McCarthy will have done something he was unable to do for 3 years as Sunderland manager, win at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League.

We will be boosted by the return of Kevin Foley, Jody Craddock, Michael Kightly and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, however we don't expect any of them to stroll into the starting line up.

With OldGold writing on the the forum: Should start with Lenny, Elvis, Kites and Jarvo in Midfield and Keogh and Doyle up front. Have a real go at them. Hoff or SEB to come on at 60 mins. Never thought I would say this, but Berra (!) and Mancienne to start. Could win this by the odd goal. Hopefully.

Match Thread

This season Vital Wolves will host a match thread on the forum for every game this season, this thread can be used to discuss the game before, during and after. Hopefully with more users every week on Vital Wolves, this feature will grow throughout the season!
