Chelsea beat Wolves

Chelsea might have won this reserves match with a late winner, but for us the main talking point is the return of Iwelumo.

Reserves are nothing games at the best of times, really its just a training ground match for players to either return from injury to get some fitness or for other players to try and keep some match sharpness.

For the youngsters you really don't gain much from playing in these non competitive games, so I tend to not judge players in these types of match ups.

Stearman also returned to action in defence, hopefully meaning he could be pushing for a place back in the squad for the weekend.

While Sam Vokes also played following his never ending loan saga, with a deal to Coventry still not completed.

A very late strike from our youth captain Conor Clifford was all that could separate the teams. Sounds like a very even clash, although we were playing a large number of youngsters.
