Is Hoddle Cooking Up A Bid?

Highly rated QPR winger Lee Cook is the latest name to be linked with a move to Molineux.

Cook has been in tremendous form for The Hoops of late, and whilst caretaker manager Gary Waddock is keen to retain teh 23 year olds services, a big money punt may force his hand.

'We all know the financial situation of the football club, and if a big offer does come in for Lee Cook then money does talk,' Waddock said.

'I will not want to let him go, because he is a quality player. He will want to test himself in the Premiership one day, but the decision is in the hands of the chairman (Gianni Paladini) and the board if an offer comes in.

'However, I would like to keep the best players here so we can mount a challenge next season.'

With Mark Kennedy's exit now looking an inevetability, Glenn Hoddles side is certainly lacking in natural left sided players.

But whether or not he still has the finances in place to make a 'big money' bid is open to question.

Early indications are that whilst Cook may be on his wishlist, offering anything like QPR's valuation of the youngster may be well beyond his means.

Vital Wolves will keep you updated as the situation develops.

£400,000 and he could be yours, just pray we keep hold of him.

Can't see that happening mark. Unfortunately, you are a selling club, and i reckon he'll go for a lot less than what he's worth.
