Vokes Coventry move off

Sam Vokes will not be joining Coventry City.

The Wolves striker was set for a loan move to the Championship club, but delay after delay looked likely to kill the move off, which has now proved the case.

"The option for him to go to Coventry may well have gone, because it hasn`t been done.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

But Mick was certain Vokes will find a loan move adding: "More than likely a loan will happen, but not just yet because he`s gone away with Wales. There`s nothing going to happen for a while.

"Where he goes, I don`t know but it`s been a shame for Sam."

Vital Wolves Comment: Real shame for Vokes, if he is not going to be involved with us on a match day he is far better off getting experience elsewhere and to miss out on moves to both Derby and Coventry is a real shame.

Wonder what is causing the problem? I wonder if he is dragging his feet thinking that he can make a mark this season with us. We are not exactly scoring a lot are we??
