Vital Wolves: Draw with Everton - The Verdict

Wolves picked up a draw away from home to Everton on Saturday.

Not many had us down to pick up anything from this game, with the bookies having us as massive outsiders to get anything out of the game.

In truth though, with Doyle opening the scoring, we could and perhaps should have held on for a win.

With that in mind after the game, Vital Wolves moderator OldGold asked: The stats seem to suggest a very even game, is that how it seemed.

I think we would all have been happy with a point at kick off, but is it a good point or 2 bad ones dropped?

Mick McCarthy responded:

'I think it's two points lost'

Obviously not in direct response to OldGold you understand! But it was the question on everyone's minds!

'Over the 90 minutes I'm not sure we perhaps deserved to win but when you take the lead and get into a position where there's only a couple of minutes left then you are disappointed.Mick told the Wolves Official Website.

'I feel we played as well as Everton and that our performance was excellent.

'We're learning in a harsh playground and we're getting better at it.

Irish_Wolf added: A point away at Everton is great work. Please keep it going lads.

While another Vital Wolves moderator in the form of Wolf Man said: Felt a bit sorry for The Hoff, that second yellow was very weak.

the red card was diabolical - Howard should have been the one seeing red!

Trying to be positive. We would have been delighted with a point pre kick off, so should be pretty happy. Another point against the Villa will be a tough ask, but lets see what we can do. At 'em me Babbies.
