Matt's Back!

Long term absentee Matt Murray has been handed a surprise recal from his loan at Tranmere due to a an injury crisis in the goalkeeping department.

Stefam Postma is still suffeing from a groin injury picked up against Brighton, and Michael Oakes suffering from flu.

Talking to the clubs official site, Glenn Hoddle said :

'Michael has had flu all week and with Stefan having to come off at half-time against Brighton with a groin problem we needed cover so Matt is back in the fold,' said the boss this afternoon.

'Stefan has had a fairly good week's training but we'll have to see if he's right to play.

'If not, then we'll bring Matt in. He could be on the bench if he doesn't start.

'It was a tough one really, because Matt's done well at Tranmere and he'd probably have played the next two games up there. But, he's got a chance of playing for us on Sunday so, it was necessary to recall him.

'I was planning on going to watch him play tomorrow, but it looks as though I'll have to pick another game now!'
