Patience pays off for Zubar

Happy Ronald Zubar on finally making an appearance in the Premier League.

The French 24-year-old joined in the summer from Marseille but initially struggled to settle in England with a new language and style of play proving difficult, especially when his wife Christel and baby daughter Cléa had yet to come to England.

But that is now all behind him and he looks set to force his way into a more permanent role in the squad.

'I am happy to have played my first league game, It was a good performance from us and it's just disappointing that they got their goal as a few minutes more and we'd have won.' Zubar told Wolves Official Website.

He went on to talk of the words of encouragement from Mick McCarthy before going on to make his first start: 'Before the game the gaffer spoke to me and told he was confident I could go out and do a good job. He said I'd been training well for the last few weeks and was getting a chance.'

Vital Wolves Comment: I was pleased Ronald Zubar got his first action in the Premier League against Everton.

He needs games in my opinion to really settle and Mick must have thought he was ready for the Premier League in the summer when he bought him.
