Wolves-Villa Penalty shout rumbles on

Kevin Doyle remained angry yesterday, following the failure by referee Peter Walton to award the earlier penalty claim against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Former Manchester City defender Richard Dunne, attempted haul down Doyle on two occasions, but due to Doyle's honesty by fighting to stay on his feet, Walton refused to give a penalty.

"They say try to stay on your feet and if you`re fouled, you`re fouled, just because you try to stay on your feet shouldn`t mean you don`t get a penalty.' Doyle told the Express & Star.

He went on to explain: "If you go down too easily you get criticised, so I tried to stay up and he stopped me from scoring, but the ref was having none of it.'

Vital Wolves regular Lost_Wolf agreed with Doyle posting: If Doyle had gone down rather than being honest and staying on his feet, I think we would have had that first penalty shout and would have then taken all the points.

Vital Aston Villa duo Doug4ever and Stig however were unsurprisingly unsympathetic following the game. With Doug posting: Stop being such whingy little girls .. you got a penalty didn't you . If you had scored earlier you would have woken Villa up and we would have spanked your whingy girly bottoms.

How pleasant, while Stig added: carew isnt moaning about being impeeded, stop moaning, you have more important things ahead to focus your minds on.

Vital Wolves Comment: Hardly a surprising reaction from Villa fans. After all they went from beating Chelsea last week, to using their get out of jail free card to escape from Molinuex with a point this week!

mute point though as John Carew was also brought down so it was one pen each whether given or not given?
The Fear
The first goal always changes the game, if we`d taken the lead then as lost says we would have taken the points.

It's not only this particular game though - Apart from the penalty awarded in the VIlla game this is the 6th decent panalty appeal that I can think of this season (not one of them given..!) - There are another 2 - 3 dubious shouts that we didn't deserve but of the 6 you would expect at least 50% to be given (But then were not paying players 100k P/W so this is how it's going to be unfortunately).

There you go .. Villa had 6 penalties against us today ..
