Ebanks-Blake ready for more goals

Ebanks-Blake is ready to start firing them home for Wolves, now that the all important first goal is out of the way.

It may have only been a penalty, but his thunderous penalty which earned a deserved point against Aston Villa meant so much more to Ebanks-Blake than just one goal.

It signalled the end of the pressure that was beginning to pile onto him due to grabbing his first Premier League goal.

"It`s a weight off my shoulders. Strikers are judged on their goals. I was delighted to score the penalty - it meant a lot to me.' Ebanks-Blake told the Express & Star.

He went on to add: "I love scoring goals and I was delighted to get a point. I`ve been out injured and not played as many games as I would have liked, so I was delighted to score."

Now the weight of pressure has lifted somewhat from his shoulders. Ebanks-Blake should now go on to score a bundle of goals this season and he remained confident that he will do so by adding: "If I get chances and enough of them, I will score."

Vital Wolves Comment: We at Vital Wolves always remained confident that Ebanks-Blake will score plenty of goals in the Premier League this season.

Injury may have meant that his progress was slowed down somewhat, while some even began to doubt him at this level.

Admittedly it was only a penalty, but we almost feel smug enough to gloat a little bit just in anticipation of what he will achieve next!
