Iwelumo to Boro?

Chris Iwelumo has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough following former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan`s appointment at the Riverside.

With less than five minutes remaining during the game against Aston Villa on Saturday, Iwelumo made his fist Premier League appearance of the season following a full recovery from a broken Metatarsal which was picked up during the pre-season trip to Australia.

But now he looks set to leave Molineux if media reports are to be believed.

It isn't mentioned whether it would be a permanent transfer that Strachan would be interested in or just a loan move, but what does appear clear is that Iwelumo has been placed high on his wish list.

Vital Wolves Comment: Iwelumo only got his chance at the weekend due to Stefan Maierhofer's suspension.

But we do need to keep our options and wouldn't really want to see him go just yet.

With Sam Vokes scoring his first goal for Leeds United last night he could return in January following the benefit of first team football, so perhaps that could open the door to Iwelumo's departure?
