We can beat Arsenal says Mick

The bookies and pundits might write us off against Arsenal and Chelsea, but boss McCarthy certainly hasn't.

You can get odds on us to win at around 10/1 on Saturday, while Arsenal are almost even money.

Basically we don't stand a hope according to anyone who claims to know something about football.

Under now Celtic boss Tony Mowbray, West Brom rested their players in games against the Big Four, virtually conceding defeat before the kick off.

So will Mick use the same tactic?

"They got relegated didn`t they, so ultimately it didn`t work. Who am I to suggest to thousands of fans that I`ll be playing five or six players who aren`t my strongest?' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

McCarthy went on to add: "Just because teams such as Arsenal expect to qualify for the Champions` League, who is to say we can`t beat them?

"There are loads of reasons to suggest we can`t, but you put the team out on to win and on our day, if we play as well as we can, I`d give us a chance against anybody."

ive just been reading about it happening from other visiting clubs forums,as it only takes one looney to do something like that,im going to be taking my mackintosh, especially if the Arse keep to form this week and smash a few goals past you

dear mick, wolves have got great attacking flair and one day they will click and score a heap of goals, but please please do something about the defense.in the league championship you had the same defense but it was ok cos your attack was scoring heaps.a poor defense in the premier will see wolves go down again if your not careful.why oh why did you not strengthen in the off season.
