We asked too much too early with Elokobi

We asked too much too early with Elokobi

McCarthy admits mistake with George Elokobi.

Adjusting to life in the Premier League is hard. Adjusting after being out of action for nine months with cruciate knee ligament injury is even tougher.

But that was what was asked of George Elokobi and even we at Vital Wolves haven't been sympathetic towards him, due to poor performances.

"We`ve probably asked too much of George, He came back from nine months out and Stephen Ward got injured after one game, so he played eight Premier League matches. It was a bit much for him.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

Mick went on to add: "He wasn`t taken out to see how he reacts to being out of the team, but to give him a break,"

Vital Wolves Comment: Elokobi's performances have been a worry, while we understand the circumstances, if he isn't performing he can't be expected to play.

So why was he selected time after time?
