Ikeme set for United switch

Ikeme set for United switch

Carl Ikeme now looks set to switch Wolverhampton for Sheffield this week according to reports.

Various internet reports had already suggested that the 23-year-old could leave Molineux next week when his loan with Division One side Charlton finishes.

That rumour now looks set to pick up pace, as the goalkeepers loan comes to an end.

It's unclear whether the move is likely to be a loan or could be made permanent in the January window.

Vital Wolves Comment: Despite a set back, Matt Murray will return to fitness sooner rather than later and that would leave Ikeme probably fourth in line for the number one jersey and at this stage of his career, he needs to be playing games.

A move away either on loan or permanently to Sheffield United looks a good move for his career.
