Doyle looking to get Ireland misery behind him

Doyle looking to get Ireland misery behind him

Kevin Doyle was part of the Republic Of Ireland side cheated out of a World Cup place at the hand of Thierry Henry.

Now back with Wolves, he is looking to get back in the starting line up against Birmingham having missed the Chelsea match at the weekend.

"I`m looking forward to a week`s training and then a game to get everything that happened with Ireland out of my system," Doyle told the Birmingham Mail.

He went on to add that, manager Mick McCarthy made the right decision in leaving him out against Chelsea: "I came back last Friday and did my warm down and travelled down to watch the lads on Saturday.

"In a way I`d have liked to have gone out there and got it out of my system then but the sensible option was for me not to play."

Vital Wolves Comment: Great to have Doyle back in the side, he is our potential match winner and we really need a win against Birmingham.
