Wolves youngster joins Southend

18-year-old Wolves defender Scott Malone has gone out on loan.

Malone was Wolves' Academy Player of the Season last term after enjoying a loan spell at Hungarian club ┌jpest.

The England Under-19 International was rushed into the Division One side Southend's squad last night, however his new side lost to Tranmere.

'I wanted to go out on loan to either the Championship or League One, so it's a great move.' Malone told the BBC.

Vital Wolves Comment: Good to see another youngster desperate for first team football, so good luck to him at Southend.
