Should Vital Wolves support Mick McCarthy as boss?

Our current poll is up and running.

Since the derby defeat to Birmingham, Vital Wolves have asked whether we should continue to support Mick McCarthy as manager.

After day one of voting the supporters appear to be pretty split.

While 3% are undecided, 43% of supporters want to stick by Mick at least until Christmas. While 54% want to give him the boot now.

To vote, please find the voting panel to the right of this article.

Skodinio on Twitter has wrote in to say: McCarthy has been superb. But he's taken us as far as he can. We need someone who can take us to the next level!

While Wolves moderator OldGold wrote on the article comments: The jury shouldn't be out. How long does it take to get rid of the man with no tactical nous whatsoever.

You know it makes me sick to the stomach that every time something goes wrong the first thing we can do is start talking about sacking the manager (that does not include me because I do not and never will support that theory), wolves fans-you should be ashamed of even thinking it let alone say it and before anybody starts on to me about not caring lets look at my facts- born in Wednesbury in 1949 (down the road from Norman Deeley) live in er that other town, have been coming to the Golden Palace for 56 yrs, sth for 39 yrs and like others bleed gold and black, missed on average about 3 matches per season, ok enough of that. A few weeks ago Wigan got beat 9-1 are they on about sacking their manager! every time things go against us the same drivel comes spewing out Sack the manager, he has taken us as far has he can (how do you know are you bloody god or something) we are all frustrated including Mick, ok sack him, who do we bring in! and how long will it take him to get us to that "other" level? and if he doesn't do we sack him! and on we go over and over again while the other teams (wigan, hull, qpr, cardiff, etc, etc) overtake us, no wonder the rest of the football world laugh at us, fickle nah there ain't a word invented to describe some "wolves" fans. We have got the players-but- I believe there is a lack of leadership on the field, a Mike Bailey type. The support from the fans is first class, apart from those wanting the manager's head every time something goes wrong - as far has Mick is concerned I would give him a contract for as long has he wants to stay (that will upset a few!!!!!) continuity is the way forward, give the manager time/funds to build the team-re ferguson after he took over at manure and they were calling for his head? we made a big mistake early 60s when we sacked Stan Cullis one from what we have never recovered, we have the chance to put it right with Mick. We are Wolves............

Looking at your results, if you ignore Chelsea & Arsenal, you had decent draws against Everton, Villa & Stoke (all good sides). But... first half against Brum.. I don't need to tell you, improved second half. There again, Brum have an excellent defence. So what? 45 mins of poor football really, not sacking offence. Stick with Mick, he tells it like it is and could turn it around.
