Vital Wolves: Win over Bolton - The Verdict

A VITAL win for Wolves over Bolton on Saturday.

The win lifted us to 18th in the league, just one point behind West Ham and three behind Hull and Everton.

Hotshot Jody Craddock opened the scoring after just three minutes, there was a hint of offside about the goal, but we'll take it.

But then, Nenad Milijas stepped up to score a great goal from range. Finally showing us a glimpse of the player we all watched via various highlight clips on the internet when we first signed him!

'For an hour and 15 minutes I thought we were terrific.' McCarthy told BBC.

'To not be given offside is pathetic.' Gary Megson told Sky Sports.

McCarthy responded: 'The goal was offside but it was my turn for a bit of luck.'

As ever though, even with a bit of luck we don't make it easy for ourselves and once Elmander had got one back, it was nail biting time for the final 10 minutes.

'We got involved in a scrap after they scored but I thought we defended them really well. As soon as they get one they were lifted but that game should have been over long before they scored the goal.' McCarthy concluded.

Vital Wolves Comment: Does this result sway your view on Mick McCarthy?

Since the derby defeat to Birmingham, Vital Wolves has been asking you, whether we should stick by him as manager.

Currently 54% of voters want to stick by Mick until at least Christmas, while 45% would still prefer to see him go.
