Serbian midfielder Nenad Milijaš has now arrived in the Premier League.
Vital Wolves have to confess we got very excited when we first signed the 26-year-old. We thought he was that extra bit of quality that was going to help us survive in the Premier League.
Unfortunately that bit of pressure didn't help Milijaš when it came to settling in England and getting used to the Premier League.
'Nenad did not settle straight away. The Premier League is a bit of a harsh playground.' McCarthy told the Birmingham Mail.
But Milijaš may now have found a turning point, not only offering quality from set pieces, but also from open play.
Mick added: 'If he plays like that every week he will be in the team. If he doesn't, the rubber will come out.
'You need that class as well. You cannot run around for 90 minutes just huffing and puffing. His deliveries from corner kicks and free-kicks were sensational.'
Milijaš fantastic strike to make it 2-0, was quality and now the Serbian looks set to kick on.
'I am really happy because I scored a goal and we won the game,' Milijas told Wolves Official Website.
He went on to add: 'I've scored a few good goals before but this is particularly special because I felt some pressure having not scored for so long.
'It should help me moving onto the next game but I am very happy here and have been all the time since I arrived.'
