Wolves trio edging back to fitness

Ronald Zubar, Chris Iwelumo and David Jones are all set to return to training ahead of the Spurs match.

While Iwelumo and Jones have had very little experience of the Premier League this season, Zubar has missed the last three games, just as he was showing signs of settling in the Wolves squad.

"Hopefully they will all be training by the end of this week. Ronald will be training some time this week. He was out doing some work yesterday and he`s doing fine.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

It is unlikely that the trio will return in time for the game against Spurs and Mick added: "It`s doubtful he will be ready for Saturday, but we`ll see. Jonah`s training - he really needs a game, that`s all. I`m hoping Lumes will be in full training this week.

"It will be great if we can get him back out there because we haven`t seen much of him on the pitch."

Vital Wolves Comment: It will be great to get extra bodies competing for places. Zubar still has potential to be one of our first choice defenders, while Iwelumo could still have a part in our survival battle if he can bag a couple of goals during the second part of the year.
