McCarthy wary of Spurs fire power
Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and the Russian with the funny name. The options Redknapp has against Wolves is frightening.
It would be nice to see Keane again though, we all have fond memories of his time at Molineux scoring 24 goals in 2 years.
Wolves boss McCarthy may not have been at the club during that time, but of course he does have a connection as Republic Of Ireland boss from 1996 till 2002 and he is still a big fan of Keane.
"Robbie`s got great touch, great energy about him and there`s always been a great desire from him to play, He`s great to have around the place too." McCarthy told the Express & Star.
But such as Tottenham's embarrassment of riches up front, Keane doesn't even appear to be first choice striker at White Hart Lane any more.
Instead he is down in the pecking order, regularly watching Redknapp's old Portsmouth partnership of Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch lead the line.
McCarthy added: "It happens - but they have got the big fellow playing and he scores goals wherever he goes, including England and he still doesn`t always start games, But you`ve got to have four centre forwards and you can`t play them all.
"Jermain Defoe is the one who`s on fire, so it`s one other from three or four to play with him and it`s Harry`s job to pick them."
