Wolves target Celtic winger

Wolves target Celtic winger

Wolves look set to make a January transfer window move for Celtic winger Niall McGinn.

I watched McGinn in Celtic's recent UEFA Cup game, they had already been knocked out of the tournament and were playing another team that had already been eliminated in the form of Rapid Vienna.

The match should have been a dull training ground affair, instead it was a classic as the home side raced into a 3-0 lead inside the first 20 minutes.

With Celtic dead and buried, McGinn was determined to get Celtic back into the game and had a fair few shots on target which kept the goalkeeper on his toes.

Celtic got a goal back before half time and then McGinn claimed an assist for Celtic's second. He was withdrawn from the game as the stand out player until Paul McGowan found an equaliser in stoppage time.

But now he could be set to move to the Premier League with Wolves. The Daily Mail believe that an offer of £1.5million could be enough to get the ball rolling.

Vital Wolves Comment: Admittedly this was the only game I have seen him in, but he looked impressive from this outing and £1.5million sounds a bargain based on this one performance.
