Halford not leaving Wolves

Greg Halford insists he is not about to leave Molineux.

I didn't actually think there was much chance of him going considering it has only been a few months since Mick shelled out £2million for him.

But with Halford struggling to get back into the side over the past month, reports suggested that he could make a temporary move.

"I definitely won`t be moving during the January transfer window. I`m 100 per cent sure about that, because I`ve done enough moving about to last me a lifetime.' Greg Halford told the Express & Star.

He added: "It`s been non-stop for me in the last three years, apart from last season when I was at Sheffield United, so I`m here for the long haul at Wolves and I doubt whether any club would be able to tempt me into reconsidering that stance."

Vital Wolves Comment: I thought he had done reasonably well when he first joined.

Considering he was settling into a new side and was having to up his game for Premier League football, I thought he was on his way to establishing himself as a solid Wolves squad player and I still think he has the capability to do that.

Should never have bought him in the first place. Useful long-throw ability to one side he does not have the quality needed for a first team place IMO. Therefore it would be good to sell him and money received plus wages saved put toward a better player. It should be crystal clear now that retaining our premiership place cannot be done on the cheap....

Agree he isn't someone for the now, but surely worth keeping and allowing to develop? At what 24 he still has plenty of time to improve?
