Wolves patient on the Hunt

Wolves patient on the Hunt

Wolves are prepared to play a patient game in our pursuit of Hull winger Stephen Hunt.

Phil Brown might not want to sell his player of the season, but for financial reasons he may not have much of a choice.

Hull are believed to want to reduce their current wage bill, with the Express and Star believing the figure they want to cut could be as high as £9million!

With reports that 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international Hunt is unsettled at Hull, Wolves might be set to take advantage.

"Jez Moxey said we`ve made a bid for two players, but who they are, I`m not going to tell you." McCarthy told the Express & Star.

He added: "I can`t say I`m gilt-edged certain because football`s strange. We all know who the better players are, whether it be mine or other players, I want to get somebody else`s and keep hold of my own."

Vital Wolves Comment: chaz1055 wrote on our last Hunt article: Dream on girls why would Hunt go to a team destined for the championship when he's at a team destined to stay up????

Perhaps some of our users on Vital Wolves would like to tell him why Hunt would prefer to play for Wolves instead of Hull?? I`m sure we could think of many reasons!

We don't need to think of reasons, it's quite clear the player realises that Hull is hole and wants to leave.

Your right it is'nt called Hell. Local paper says he'd rather stay in HULL than goto the 4th biggest club in the midlands. However, looks like if we can't off load some of the garbage weve got on big wages (which we wont because they are GARBAGE) you might be getting him for 4mill. He started here well then went off the boil a bit, seems to have found his form of late and is IMO our best player this season so far. Cant imagine anybody being happy seeing him go to somebody who's going to be down ther with us but hey ho life goes on.
