Spurs O`Hara could be set for Wolves

Portsmouth have had their attempts to sign Jamie O`Hara rejected by the Premier League, which has now opened the door for Wolves to sign the Tottenham midfielder.

The 23-year-old had hoped to extend his stay at Portsmouth, but due to the financial problems at Pompey, they are currently under a transfer ban, which includes extending any current loan deals.

Many rumours have now linked him with a move to Molineux.

However, Wolves or any other club who try to sign the player, will have to get special permission from the Premier League due to rules preventing someone playing for three sides in any Premier League season.

That shouldn't cause too many issues though, as it is their own rules preventing him staying with Portsmouth anyway!

Vital Wolves Comment: He would be a superb signing for Wolves and hopefully this can come off.

You dont deserve special permission, no premier league club does. Every club should be treated the same!

If the PL grant's you this exception then ok, but if they grant anyone an exception from their rules, why not do it for Portsmouth and give them the chance to keep O'Hara till summer...?
vangogo
not a chance o'Hara clearly he wants to remain at a good team ??????

He wants to stay at Pompey, he said he's enjoying his football here and wants to help us stay up.
pompeyfcmad
Well we don't always get what we want pompey mad. You have a transfer ban because you can't pay your own wages. Why should you be able to keep him? I think the Premier League will allow O`Hara to sign for another club, would be wrong to end his season just because Portsmouth cannot pay the bills.
Lost_Wolf
although I would be very happy for Jamie to remain at Pompey, it is only Pompey who are to blame for not being able to keep him, not the Premier league. there is a transfer embargo for a very sensible reason and that and nothing else is stopping him remaining with you.

There will be no 'special permission' from the Premier League, it is not the Prem's rule to break, nor it is the FA's. This is a FIFA worldwide rule, and there is precious little chance of them changing their stance.
