The Vital Wolves Mauling: Wigan

The Vital Wolves Mauling: Wigan

With the Premier League now under way, Vital Wolves will be bringing you a new feature we have entitled The Vital Wolves Mauling.

Basically it's 8 questions with an editor from the Vital website of our next opponents (clever huh?)

So this week it's worbo from Vital Wigan.

1. What do you make of Wolves, how do you think they have faired back in the Premier League?

When Wolves came to the DW Stadium early season you reminded me so much of how we played under Paul Jewell, very workman like and playing for each other and I honestly thought that you would have gone on to do better than what you have but having said that the Premier League is very tough and I cant see you going down so obviously you are doing alright.

2. Which Wolves player has caught your eye this season?

I like Andy Keogh and he had a fine game at the DW Stadium but I notice he hasn`t played too many games for you this season, can we have him please?

3. Ultimately do you think Wolves will avoid the drop?

I feel Wolves will avoid going down, looks like Portsmouth with all their off the field problems will end up finishing bottom, Hull look destined to fall this season, they too have money troubles and not the strongest squad and I also fear for Burnley, they have lost their lucky charm in Owen Coyle and I think they are also starting to get found out, so my bottom three would be a Wolves free Portsmouth, Hull and Burnley

4. What are your thoughts on how your season has gone so far?

We have been very inconsistent both in the level we have played at and also the results. We have hit the highs with a super display of flowing football which helped us gain an emphatic result over Chelsea and obviously the performance and the ultimate embarrassing score line at Spurs were the over side of the coin and totally unacceptable, but that sums up our season, on our day very good not on our day frighteningly poor.

5. What do you think will happen in your game against Wolves?

Hopefully it will be a good day for us and we turn up. If we do I see us gaining a 2-0 victory, we owe you after the sorry performance at the DW Stadium back in August, I`m plumping for Scotland and Rodallega to score in an entertaining game that sees us getting our revenge.

6. Where will the Latics be come the end of the season?

I believe that we will be round about 14th or 15th

7. Will you be happy with that?

Considering that we have had a new manager and the club is going through some major changes both on the pitch and behind the scenes anything above the bottom three will do nicely and give Martinez something to build on for next season, so to answer your question, yes I will be happy with finishing just below mid-table

8. Who will win the Premier League?

It`s hard to look beyond Chelsea or Manchester United but I think that Arsenal may just surprise a few people, so that`s who I`m going for, Arsenal

Thanks very much to worbo from Vital Wigan for taking the time and effort to answer our questions!
