'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Lets make a move for Beattie!

Yesterday Vital Wolves reported that Stoke City have denied that they have been approached by Wolves for striker James Beattie.

McCarthy then quickly quashed the rumours in his press conference yesterday: "I was amused the other day when I saw the story spreading.

"I was agog at it all. Maybe someone should have checked with me but the story just kept running."

One reader who was disappointed in that news was Mark Quinton who decided to get in touch with us and sent in the following:

If Stoke are saying we haven't approached them, then I think we better should before its to late!

Beattie would be a good partner for Doyle. I feel sorry for Blake he did wonderful in the fizzy pop league, but 19 shots on goal and not one has gone in is terrible.

If Keogh was fit I would play him and Doyle.

Come on Wolves spend some money instead of trying to get players on the cheap.
