Vital Wolves: Draw with Palace - The Verdict

Wolves will have to go again with Palace after the two sides played out 2-2 draw in this FA Cup Fourth Round tie.

Mick McCarthy made various changes to the team and it nearly cost us, as we had to rely on an 84th minute equaliser from Zubar.

Wolves were poor at times and it took Palace just 2 minutes to take the lead through Alan Lee.

David Jones got an equaliser just before half time, but it wasn't long before Palace were leading again.

Darren Ambrose put the Championship side back ahead with a free-kick early in the second half.

But minutes before the end, Zubar found the bet to avoid a Cup upset.

'I thought we had some chances to win it in the second half and Crystal Palace played well.' McCarthy told the BBC after the game.

He added: 'We didn't get anything other than what I expected from them. What I got from us, though, at the start of the first and second half is not what I expect.

'We've had to have a scrap, it was a cup tie. We've had to work harder than necessary just to get a draw.'

Vital Wolves Comment: The important thing is that we have a second game to put it right and get through to the next round.

With Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all out this seasons FA Cup is really opening up.
