Wolves back on the Hunt

Wolves continue to chase Hull midfielder Stephen Hunt and Blackburn striker Jason Roberts.

With a week remaining of the transfer window, Wolves continue to try and bolster the squad ahead of the final push towards the end of the season.

We've already brought in Charleroi pair Geoffrey Mujangi Bia and Adlene Guedioura, but McCarthy is known to want a new striker and is still interested in winger Stephen Hunt.

"We`re continuing in our efforts to bring in one or two players, but it`s proving extremely difficult.' Chief executive Jez Moxey said to the Express & Star.

He added: "Clubs are very reluctant to part company with their best players, although there`s still time to do some business with the activity hopefully hotting up as the deadline - a week today - approaches."

Vital Wolves Comment: It's often said that sides end up playing over the odds for players in the January transfer window and that appears to be the case if we are to sign Hunt.

Mick usually doesn't do smokescrens and has said he is not interested in Roberts.
