Vital Wolves: Draw with Liverpool - The Verdict

A scoreless draw at Molineux, with missed chances to take the win. Usually we`d be disappointed. But when it comes against Liverpool it's a good result.

Liverpool might be having their own problems, but they were still heavy favourites to take the win last night.

So with us having the better chances to win the game, that's something to be proud of.

As was the performance of striker Kevin Doyle.

'If you see a better performance from a centre-forward than Doyle showed, I would like to see it. If he had just managed a goal, it would have been one of the best all-round performances.' McCarthy told the BBC.

He added: 'He is physically strong enough to play that role. We changed the system and I don't think our keeper had a save to make. I don't think we were troubled.

'It was a really solid performance and it's great to get off 19 points because we've been there for too long.'

Vital Wolves Comment: Would have took a point before kick off, so I`m satisfied. Probably even more so by the performance.

I know Liverpool are suppose to be struggling, but they were good enough to beat Spurs at the weekend.

3 home games without a goal though. We need a striker before the window shuts.

regardless of the need for a striker this is a terrific result

I think it was a case of 2 points dropped to be honest!

Goals would be nice, but it is the service that is mainly the problem, although SEB has to be dropped in favour of anyone else at the mo to be honest. I however think 4 5 1 is the way to go for the time being
