Moxey reflects on transfer window

Despite the signings of Geoffrey Bia Mujangi and Adlene Guedioura Wolves CEO Jez Moxey was left frustrated following the closing of the transfer window.

We tried to bring in Adam Johnson and Stephen Hunt on deadline day, including a bid which would have broken our transfer record.

But with Johnson moving to Manchester City and Hunt remaining at Hull, it was a frustrating end to a frantic month in the transfer window.

'I think in total there has been £30million spent by all clubs during the window which is the lowest it has been for eight seasons.' Jez told Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'There hasn't been that much movement partly because clubs don't want to sell players and partly because others don't want to spend.

'We're pleased with the two we've got but very frustrated we weren't able to land one of the more marquee-type players we were after.'

Fortunately for Moxey there are three clubs even more ill-equpped to deal with the rigours of premier league football than us. Unfortunately for us (the ordinary fans) that, apparently, is what constitutes success these days.
