McCarthy targets 40 points

Wolves gaffer McCarthy wants his side to pick up around 18 points from the final 14 games.

In the press yesterday, Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce plucked out the magic 40 point marker for Premier League survival and Mick agrees.

"We`re going to have to get somewhere close to 40 points.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

He added: "We need another 16, 17 or 18 points and it doesn`t matter when or where we pick them up."

'We need that belief where we`re all in it together because it more than likely will come to the very last games.'

Vital Wolves Comment: To get another 18 points, we need 6 wins from 14 games. So far we`ve picked up 5 wins from 24 games.

Despite what the statistics suggest I`m still confident that Mick McCarthy can steer us to survival.

But where do you think we can pick up the points? Let us know on the article comments below.
