Where did it all gone wrong?

Where did it all go wrong for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake?

Last season a goal machine, this season you could use any number of well used cliches to describe his goal drought.

I was one of many who thought the step up to the Premier League was well within his grasp and during the summer he was even being tipped as an outside chance for England's World Cup squad.

A season in the Premier League banging in 20 goals, would certainly have been hard for Fabio Capello to ignore.

But instead of booking his plane ticket and packing his suitcase and training with the England squad ahead of the friendly against Egypt tonight, Ebanks-Blake was playing for the reserves against Telford.

Chances came and went, a fair analysis of his season so far and Wolves finished the game with a humiliating 4-0 defeat.

The likes of Ashley Hemmings, Andrew Surman, Andy Keogh, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Richard Stearman and Segundo Castillo were all involved so the back up was there, but once again it's another crushing defeat.

So did anyone impress enough to get called up for a Premier League outing? Hopefully someone reading this will have been in the crowd of 817, but guessing from the score line, I`m doubting it.

His confidence may be shot, at this point. There are plenty of prolific Championship strikers that find the transition difficult. If Wolves can stay up and he has more time to adapt, he may be more productive next season.
