'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vultures circle

Aston Villa, Fulham, Everton and Sunderland are all hoping that Wolves will go down, so they can sign Wolves hitman Kevin Doyle.

The Premier League quartet are hoping to snap up Wolves record signing in the summer if we fail to avoid the drop to the Championship.

Mick McCarthy has already resigned himself to losing the Irish striker, but Doyle himself appears to be concentrating on keeping Wolves in the Premier League. 'We've beaten Burnley this season and we're looking to do it again.' the striker told Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'We build games up - we built up Bolton and got beat, so we don't want to make it too important because we have a chance the week after even if we don't beat Burnley.

'A win the following week would probably lift us out of it again so it's important not to think that if you get beat one week that that's the end of it.'

Vital Wolves Comment: It's no big surprise that if we go down we will lose players and Doyle will be at the top of everyone's wish list.

We just need to make sure we stay up so we can keep him!

mark my words - relegation will mean a fire sale!

Nonsense - we will lose Doyle [for a good price] no way will there be a fire sale although there will be a few that we would want to get off our wages bill....
astraltrader
He would have had a release clause written into his contract when he signed so the fee will already be set.
