Bristol City swap deal - Iwelumo for Maierhofer

Chris Iwelumo looks set to return from Bristol City and Stefan Maierhofer looks set to replace him in a rather odd swap loan deal.

The Bristol club wanted to keep big Iwelumo on loan after scoring a couple of goals, with one in particular catching the eye.

But obviously where is the benefit to us if he stays playing in the Championship? So it looks likely that we'll have him back and send Stefan Maierhofer down for a loan instead.

Vital Wolves Comment: The Hoff seems to have fallen out of favour with Mick and it wouldn't surprise us at Vital Wolves to see him leave in the summer.

So this move will obviously be buttered up as a move for him to recover to full fitness. But it could be more of a case of sticking himself in the shop window.
