Prove me wrong Hoff

The strongest message yet from Wolves boss Mick McCarthy that Stefan Maierhofer does need to turn his Wolves career around and get back into the gaffers plans.

For a few weeks we have speculated that the Hoff is probably looking at exiting Molineux during the summer.

Then came his apparent rant in the Austrian press saying that Mick McCarthy and Wolves have: 'taking the p*** out of me.'

Obviously the club have played the spat down, but you don't have to read between the lines when Mick talks: "I haven`t heard from him. But I will say this - Chris Iwelumo is going to be in the squad tomorrow and that`s what Stefan has to do.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

"It`s always interesting because it`s supposedly the best players are always in the stands or in the dugout sat behind me - strange that.

"But good luck to him - go and prove me wrong and yourself right by scoring five or six goals on loan at Bristol City, then come back here and be involved."

Scoring goals in the championship is a bit different to premier league though. Let him go in the summer. We need quality next season if still in prem. Can't see him being the answers to our problems.
