Vital Wolves: Draw with Villa - The Verdict

Well I lost my money with the bookies.

I even got greedy and stuck a couple of quid on it with BetFair. 9.40 was the decimal odds that I got last Wednesday and with 8 minutes to go I was already thinking of how I could spend my twenty quid winnings.

But then comes an offside John Carew to steal my winnings and more importantly 2 points for Wolves.

'It might feel like we've had a couple of points snatched away from us but it was our own downfall,' McCarthy told the Wolves Official Website.

Carew was offside for both Villa goals, but knowing he cannot help the officials learn from their mistakes (because quite honestly they are beyond help), McCarthy turned his attentions to how we should have avoided the goals in the first place.

Mick added: 'Although the first one is offside we'd worked on not getting caught on the break so we had a role to play as well.

'There's no point feeling 'poor little us' because we were involved in the goals.

Vital Wolves Comment: A point is still enough to take us four points clear of Burnley and Hull who lost to Wigan and Portsmouth respectively.
