Vital Wolves: Draw with Everton - The Verdict

Another point and another step closer to securing Premier League football for next season.

A goal less draw with Everton at the weekend puts us 14th. Putting Bolton, Wigan and West Ham between us and the bottom three.

Five points now separate Wolves and Hull who are 18th, although they do have a game in hand.

On the game itself, we might count ourselves lucky to have held onto a point. But that is just another sign of how far we have come and credit to McCarthy's decision to stick with his favourite side, making just the odd treak every now and again.

'I'm a little bit relieved because we had to weather a fair old storm.' McCarthy admitted to the BBC on Saturday evening.

Speaking about Everton, Mick added: 'Moyesie had injuries to start with but they've come good and they're as good as anything that's come down here.'

'We played some great football at West Ham and got a win but we're not suddenly Barcelona.'

Vital Wolves Comment: An excellent point and another step forward to safety.

I'm worryingly very confident about avoiding the drop now!

We were solid at the back but didn't offer much going forward. Jones and Jarvis were quiet.
