Henry blasts 'moaners' Arsenal

Skipper Karl Henry was furious at his sending off, and how the Arsenal players moan.

'It was never a red card, it is an absolute disgrace. He is up and running around two minutes later,' said the 28-year-old midfielder.

'Arsenal moan a lot and their players go down like a sack of spuds.'

Henry added: 'When they are rolling around getting people sent off, it makes you not want to see them do so well.'

'I have gone in to win it, Rosicky has gone across me to shield the ball. By that time, I have already gone to ground,' stated Henry.

'Thomas Vermaelen has come flying in and whoever else, trying to get me sent off.

'They get hit hard, like any other clubs do, and we are hearing about it for weeks and weeks.'

VitalWolves Verdict: I agree with Karl. Everything he has said is true. Everyone likes Arsenal's style but no one likes the way the act and protest to the referee.

Pfft! What a surprise. The coward Henry trying to portray himself as the victim after recklessly going thru the back of an opponent, putting bleeding stud holes in the back of his legs in the process. Pathetic! And the reaction of your manager and most of the media is almost as bad. Oh I am sorry Arsenal players had the temerity to complain about yet another over the top challenge. A|nd we havent even mentioned the stamp he carried out on Walcott either have we? Cloggers

He tries to avoid it, and he tries to ge tout of the way but doesn'thave the time and ACCIDENTLY gets him. I thought it was a foul too but the point is he got sent off because arsenal fans made such a huge deal of it. I've said this many times in the last day or so, everyone likes arsenal's style but people don't like them because the way they react to the slightest but of contact. If Rosicky is really hurt, why does he roll around? To make it worse?

I suppose he cut himself on the calf and made himself bleed for effect too? Those Arsenal players are really committed to their act, aren't they. And I guess you missed the Brum match, when two Arsenal players were booked after two tough English players dived with no contact.

They were very comitted. Do Arsenal have a magic sponge, because Rosicky's recovery is miraculous. He almsot scored a minute after being shot!

Another poor player trying to cover up his own crapness. If you want to fly in at 100mph from behind in the premiership fair enough but 9 times out of 10 you will be booked and 3 times out of 10 you will get a red card, especially when your stud marks are clearly visible on the opponents leg. Maybe all the Arsenal players gathered round because it was the 2nd incident this no mark was involved in during the game which in all fairness was played in a good spirit.

When Arsenal surround the ref it's unlike when teams like Chelski do it which is solely to badger, swear and intimidate them to sway the refs judgement. When Arsenal do it it's generally out of sheer frustration and anger because they have just witnessed yet AGAIN one of their team mates either A) narrowly avoid losing a lower limb by a whisker or B) Seeing a lower limb held in the same vicinity as the player by his sock. The visible wounds on Rosickys' calf caught by the cameras justify any rolling around in pain - this was no hammy Drogba platoon dive. It was a man in pain after being caught by another substandard oafish excuse for a footballer sliding in recklessly at full speed with zero regard for anyone. Fully justified red card as he escaped a nailed on yellow for surfboarding on Walcott earlier, how much longer was anyone expected to put up with Henrys clogging and borderline assaults? And now the world gets to laugh as it's always the leg snapping hard man assailant moaning, whining and b*tching like a little ...well b*tch, whilst Arsenal maintain their usual media silence when it comes to small insignificant clubs well beneath them :) Well done Andre Marriner. Instant red cards for the likes of Shawcross, Taylor, Boateng and Henry and the game would soon lose this ugly, reckless and dangerous edge. Sliding in from behind at 100 mph in the centre circle? Get the feck orf my pitch!

No when arsenal do it it's eaxactly the same as Chelsea/Man United. They are CHEATING. Rosicky is conning the ref and Vermaelen are over reacting. To say Henry is trying to cover up his own crpaness is just plain stupid. How many times have you watched him, once/twice at most. I watch him every week, he has been our second best player this season. What's funny about him is that he refuses to just kick the ball uo the field, he wants to keep the ball on the floor. Shows how much these so called football 'fans' know.

Bloggerwolf, even if for arguments sake we say that Karl Henry's red card was harsh, you would agree that his tackle on Rosicky from behind was atleast a yellow. Now considering his earlier clear yellow card assault on Walcott (again from behind) he deserved to be sent off. Wolves played well defensively and Hahnemann was out of this world but fortune favours the brave most of the time. We had far more shots on target, way more possession and much more desire to attack and win. Please move on!

I have to add that unlike the neanderthals at Stoke, Blackburn and Hull who just know how to kick us, Wolves were (barring Henry) clean in their play and extremely well organised. All the best in the rest of your games.

I dont know how it could be play acting when you have stud marks down the back of your calf. Whether it was a red or not, the challenge was still reckless, from behind and Rosicky was caught. Is it only a red card if the player stays down injured or crippled? The worst thing is Henry got up and started mouthing off.

I think at the most the second one is a yellow. The stamp, is unlucky but could also be a yellow. If Henry had already been on a yellow, would he have made that challenge. Paul, do you honestly think that rolling around isn't play acting. What else could it be. If you are hurt the last thing you want to do is roll around. Henry mouths off because he sees that and the others start protesting

I did tune in to watch Henry when you played United at old trafford but he didnt play. Instead of focusing on the so called play acting and moaning about the moaning Henry needs to look at the stupidity of the tackle, Captain fantastic probably cost you a point. 2nd best player this season? Must say ive been more impressed with Doyle and Jarvis.

So now Rosicky is conning the ref because he wasnt carried off to hospital? Oh how dare he be able to get up and continue playing! The cheek of it! Henry stamped on Theo as well, but surprise surprise, the coward has not mentioned that one either. If he was such a big man, he'd hold his hands up, apologise and move on. But no, once again, we have to put up with stupid articles, where a hitherto unknown, average player suddenly finds himself the flavour of the month and all because dirty Arsenal players had the cheek to find fault in a nasty, unacceptable challenge.

Doyle has been far and away our best player. Jarvis in my opinion started slowly but has got better, Henry has been consistent throughout. ManGoonian, I'm not angry he played on. He rolled around for a while, limps off but he reappears 30 secs later fine!

Henry added: “It makes you not want to see them do so well. Thomas Vermaelen has come flying in and whoever else, trying to get me sent off.” Oh the irony of that comment! The fact he has desolved himself from any responsibility is truely amazxing too.

so is henry moaning that rosicky was still able to walk after his nasty tackle? It was nice of wolves to bother to turn up with a first eleven but embarrassing how they made no attempt to play football.

Here we go; Read that and still maintain he conned and cheated that poor little innocent lamb henry; Apparently there are four visible stud marks and, as a result, he is rated as 50:50 for the Champions League Quarter-Final second leg at the Nou Camp. "We will see about him tomorrow," said Wenger on the eve of the game. "When you look at his calf, you can see the tackle of Henry was not as innocent as it looked."

Wow, these Arsenal players are really committed to conning the ref. First, Rosicky cut himself to make it look like Henry's studs had hit his calf, now he's considering sitting on the Barcelona game just to continue his con! Such commitment!

what I don't understand is why Arsenal fans have ingnored the fact that all the neutrals don't believe it was a red. But arsenal ignore/cover up anything that is seen as a bad result. They complained about us when they drew 1-1 with Burnley :D

I can't see his studs ripping his leg open there..! And Karl Henry is such a dirty player that thas was his first red card at the age 27......! A yellow would have been unlucky, but the fact that the ref had a team in his face and 57'000 fans calling for him to send him off had absolutely no bearing on it at all...! Not a red and there fore 2 minutes of extra time should not have been added to the three.... there fore the goal was cheated at best. But hey ho, Wolves will and have moved on (bar the appeal) so why you still complain about getting three cheated points is totally beyond me! I respect the way Arsenal play football and respect arsene as both a manger and a person, but the stupid playground b******g is pointless and does no good for your reputation.

The youtube clip clearly shows Henry's right boot with studs showing going through the back of Rosicky's left leg. The referee has a clear uninterrupted view of it. Wolves didn't clog us - they played with a fair amount of intelligence if perhaps an overdependence on time wasting - but couldn't be described as a physical side in the Allardycian mould. The foul was a bit out of context with Wolves overall play but that it was stupid, reckless and warranted a red card is beyond doubt. If he's appealing and the video of the tackle is scrutinised as it should be it will be deemed a frivolous appeal and the ban extended.

Why don't Arsenal fans get that every neutral doesn't think it warranted a red card? I guess they ignore what they don't like to hear.
