Ikeme unsure of future

Ikeme unsure of future

Carl Ikeme has voiced his concerns about his future at Wolves. He hasn't played for the first team this season, and is third in the pecking order and could be fourth if Matt Murray ever gets back to fitness.

He said: "I`m not sure where I stand when I go back. All I know is I need to play games and I`m not getting any at Wolves.

"I`m gutted to be going back. It was a great experience as I`ve played back-to-back and stayed injury-free.

"It`s an awkward situation. I`m on good terms with everyone at Wolves, but I want to be playing. I`ve not even been on the bench. It`s very frustrating. I want to play so much, you can`t beat it.

"I don`t like watching. Playing in the reserves just keeps you sharp, but it doesn`t really mean anything, win, lose or draw.

"I want my games to mean something and have something to play for. I`ve loved it there."

I probably will attract a lot of flak for saying this but in view of the form of our American goalkeeper we should sell Wayne for a decent amount of money and Carl [or if miracles do happen eventually Matt] will make a decent number 2. Lets face it Wayne will not be at all happy having to accept a number two role for another season and he would lose his Welsh place for certain if not playing.
