McCarthy keeps eye on AZ Alkmaar winger
McCarthy has been tracking 22-year-old AZ Alkmaar winger Jeremain Lens and could look to make a move for the Dutch-Surinam footballer over the summer.
Through the wonders of wiki, I am able to tell you that while Lens has made three appearances for Suriname which is a small South American country, he is not a full international as the PARBO Bier Cup is not an official tournament in the eyes of FIFA.
This means he is still eligible to play for Holland who he has represented eight times at under-21 level.
Lens has also played part of his career up front for both AZ Alkmaar and Nijmegen Eendracht Combinatie who he made 31 appearances for during 2007 and 2008.
Last season he won The Eredivisie and The Johan Cruijff Shield (The Dutch League and Super Cup).
