'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McCarthy is the best in 30 years says Jez

McCarthy is the best Wolves boss in 30 years according to Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey.

Back in November, Vital Wolves were flooded with messages on our facebook page claiming we should be calling for Mick's head.

We're quite pleased to say we stuck by him back then, but it is fair to say McCarthy's future did split the fans.

Our frontpage poll in November finished as follows:

Should Vital Wolves support Mick McCarthy as boss?

Poll Date: 30 Nov 2009

Suggested By: Facebook Friends

Yes 54%

No - Sack him 37%

Until Xmas 4%

Until the end of the season 3%

Undecided 2%

I'm going to guess if we ran the poll again today the results would be even more favourable for Mick and we also know which way Jez would be voting!

"Mick has got to be the best Wolves manager in 30 years. He`s as good as we`ve had in recent times. He`s done something that no other manager here has achieved in winning a title and keeping us in the Premier League.' Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the Express & Star.

He continued: "Let`s hope he can go on and win a major trophy for us - that`s our aim, to re-establish this club as a major force in the land.'

Jez added: "Mick has done a magnificent job when many people were saying he couldn`t manage in the Premier League. This is a major achievement for this football club."
