Wolves Transfer Rumours

Wolves Transfer Rumours

Wolves linked with Tottenham and Wolves old boy Robbie Keane, Hull's Stephen Hunt and Kamil Zayatte, Bristol City's top-scorer Nicky Maynard, Reading's Gylfi Sigurdsson and AZ Alkmaar's Jeremain Lens.

All this and it's not even May!

Amazing what happens once you secure your future in the Premier League! The media get their notebooks out and link you with moves for half a dozen players!

So here is our round up of transfer rumour ping pong between the Daily Mail and The Mirror:

First point goes to the Daily Mail for reporting that Mick McCarthy fancies making a loan move for Tottenham's Robbie Keane.

Keane has spent the second half of the season on loan at Celtic and his Spurs career looks over.

Tottenham though are apparently not interested in another loan move and would prefer to cash in to the tune of £8million.

The Mirror strike back and take an immediate 2-1 lead with their report of Wolves double swoop on latest crisis club Hull.

With Hull relegation and apparent financial meltdown, McCarthy looks set to make another move for Stephen Hunt.

Wolves tried desperately to sign Hunt in January, having five bids rejected with Wolves offering around £5million.

Now McCarthy believes he can get a bargain and has offered a cut price £3million. But could double that fee if centre-half Kamil Zayatte was also thrown in.

The Daily Mail peg it back to 2-2 with their link for Bristol City top-scorer Nicky Maynard.

The 23-year-old has scored 20 goals in the Championship this season is rated at £3million.

But it's The Mirror who storm through to take a 4-2 win with the final rumours linking yet another £3million move, this time Reading's Gylfi Sigurdsson while the paper have also picked up on the link with AZ Alkmaar winger Jeremain Lens.

Vital Wolves Comment: I know it's early but just for fun, out of the six mentioned above, who do you think is most likely to be at Molineux next season?

Keane and hunt would be a great start to our signings but we need more strength in every department. Left back is in need of strengthening for sure!

I hope we get Robby Keane he's a wolves legend! But most important we need a new goalie cause if McCarthy's waiting for Matt Murray to be fit he can give up now! After that I'd work up the middle starting with CBs and moving forward, then sort out the full backs.
