'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Doyle is not for sale

Wolves have issued a hands off warning for any club thinking of making a move for Wolves striker Kevin Doyle.

If we had failed to survive in the Premier League this season then most Wolves fans would have understood Doyle moving on.

But with Premier League football guaranteed for next season, it appears pretty vital to us that Doyle stays and Wolves chairman Steve Morgan has made a move to put off any clubs considering making a move the 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international.

'For a start, we've had absolutely zero contact with any club whatsoever, and Kevin Doyle is not for sale,' said Steve Morgan to Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'It's as simple as that. Kevin is one of a number of top players at this club and we want him to stay.'

'He's been a really good signing for us, he loves it at the club and he absolutely wants to stay.'

Vital Wolves Comment: Without doubt Doyle was our signing of the summer last year.

Mick may have broke the bank to set a new transfer record fee of £6.5million, but it was worth every penny and now if we were to sell, surely any club would have to think about doubling the fee we paid?

Just goes to show you get what you pay for... If McCarthy wants 5 more like Doyle he's gonna need to splash the cash!

I would rather spend 20 mill on 4 decent players than do what we did last season
