'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Big clear out, who will go?

Mick has admitted he will have to 'break up' the squad in order to bring in more players and improve the team.

'Breaking that up is never easy, but I`ve got to do it. I haven`t got to shatter it but the players have formed a great bond and some will go.'

But who will he have to sell? I'm sure there are many near certainties to be sold, while some of our loan players may not return.

Here's who I think should go:

Jason Shackell

George Friend

Stefan Maierhofer

Sergundo Castillo (not bring him back)

Chris Iwelumo

Greg Halford

Carl Ikeme

Mark Little

Matt Hill

Andrew Surman

I don't think any of those players will have an impact on our season next season, or did enough for us this year. That's quite a lot of players to let go, and if Mick intends to sign four or five players would that be enough. However good they might be, we would need more strength in depth.

Who do you think should be sold, and how many players do we need?

Yeh, that looks about right to me, I would add Daniel Jones to the list as well.
mike1952
why do we need to get rid of carl ikeme he is a solid back up keeper
dannypeters
He will want to leave, he doesn't want to be on the bench all his career does he?

That list seems about right, with 5 new signings or so there would be nothin to worry about. Don't forget the players you have mentioned hardly play and would not exactly be missed!

I'd consider letting vokes go too, so enough cash is raised to buy a proven goal scorer or two. We still have seb and keogh behind Doyle.
Nympf
Mujanji-bia to return to his former team too lol.

fair enough you are write he will be wanting to play football i would rather put him on loan

I agree with Danny, Ikeme is a solid keeper and he's still pretty young too. As much as like the guy I think if we were to ship a keeper out it would have to be Matty Murray (Could of had such a great career)..!
