Damme that's a good signing

Jelle van Damme looks ready to sign for Wolves, much to the delight of headline writers across the country!

With a surname like that, I`m Damme sure we can have some good puns on Vital Wolves next season!

But while everything looks set for a quick conclusion to the move, Wolves Chief executive Jez Moxey denies that a deal is almost agreed. "We haven`t agreed anything with anyone yet." Jez told the press.

Van Damme currently at Anderlecht can play left-back, left midfield and centre-back and would be a snip at just £2.5million if reports are correct.

At 6ft 4in Van Damme has also been watched by West Brom and Fulham, but we seem to be in a good position, despite Jez playing it cool.

"I have been in contact with them for a long time and Mick McCarthy was very insistent." Jelle van Damme told the Express & Star.

Moxey also moved to deny any interest in Burnley striker Steven Fletcher: "I know what I`m dealing with and he`s not one of them."

While the Daily Mail have linked West Brom with a move for Wolves long term target Stephen Hunt.
