Ward signs a new three-year contract

Stephen Ward has signed a new three-year contract at the club.

The defender had another 12 months to run on his current contract, but the club have moved to offer him an extended deal.

'I'm thrilled to have signed a new deal,' Ward told Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'To have signed a new deal at the end of a season when we've stayed in the Premier League is brilliant for me.

'I've grown to love the club over the three-and-a-half years I've been here so I'm delighted to be here for another three years.

Ward played 22 times in the Premier League last season and was a member of Mick McCarthy's virtually unchanged side towards the end of the season.

Vital Wolves Comment: We're thinking about doing some supporter interviews over the summer, something to help tick away the time until the new season starts.

We'd like to do something a bit different and interactive, something that can involve you, the Vital Wolves readers!

So if you`d like to either submit a question, or be interviewed and get your name up in print, please get in touch!
