Wolves Fan Interview - Number 2 - wrestler313

The second Vital Wolves fan interview of the summer has now been completed and next into the the hot seat is wrestler313.

We've kept with an International theme, following on from Mexican Erick, with Irishman wrestler313.

Question number 1: What is your username on Vital Wolves?

Question 2: How long have you supported Wolves?

Even though Cork City is my no1 team (where Kevin Doyle got his big break!), I've always had a soft spot for Wolves, just something about the club. I'd say in the past 5 years or so.

Question 3: How did you become a Wolves fan?

Well I'm a big fan of the Irish national team, and keeping track of the players at their clubs often led me to Wolves. I really like the fans's passion and the never-say-die attitude of the club.

Question 4: If you could pick one highlight as a Wolves fan what would it be?

Probably the 3-1 win over West Ham this year. Everyone sees them as a 'big club,' and everyone counted us out to begin with, but it was a dominating performance that helped keep us up.

Question 5: Who is your all time favourite Wolves player?

Andy Keogh! I love the way he plays. He'll do anything for the team, he gives 110% to the shirt, and he's passionate about the game. One of my favorite Irish players in general.

Question 6: What was your assessment of last season?

I think it was obviously good to beat all the predictions of a quick relegation. We proved ourselves to be Prem quality and now its onwards and upwards.

Question 7: Are you pro or anti Mick McCarthy?

Definitely pro. He gets a lot of stick but hes had success with the club, and is pretty shrewd in negotiations and bringing in new players.

Question 8: If money and status was no object, who would you most like to see in a Wolves shirt?

It'd be unreal to have a player like David Villa or Xavi at Molineux, could you imagine that tandem! I also think that Iker Casillas would be fantastic, we'd never let in a goal!

Question 9: Predictions for the World Cup, how far will England get, how will we get knocked out and who will go on to win it?

I think England have a really good chance this year of taking it all, Capello said semi-finals at least and I'd have to agree with that. I was hoping I'd be there cheering on Doyler and the boys but its not to be. I fancy the Ivory Coast to surprise a lot of people, but you've go to take Spain as the favorites.

Question 10: Predictions for Wolves next season, where do we need to strengthen, should Mick stick with one up front?

It will probably have to change up match to match. Against the lower-placed sides, 4-4-2 would definitely be good as we need the goals. If we're facing Arsenal or Man United though you've got to stick with the 4-5-1 and make them work for it. We're improving with quality in the side, Doyle always gets stuck in and works hard, but another good striker would be pretty important. I'd love to have Robbie Keane back but the likes of a young player on loan are probably higher. Question 11: What is your question for the next interviewee on Vital Wolves?

How do you see Sylvain Ebanks-Blake figuring into the team this upcoming season, if at all?
